Welcome to our
Website
We hope you will visit often to keep up with what God is doing in our ministry. We'd love to hear from you so please drop us an email and let us know what God is doing in your life.
All of our contact information is at the bottom of each website page.
We’re happy you stopped by The
Macs website. Our prayer is that you
think about how good God is, and remember all He has done and IS
doing.
Updated: February 14, 2012
We want to thank all our family and friends for their prayers and notes
of encouragement regarding Stacie's health. We will keep you
updated as we know more and please continue to lift us up in prayer.
We will be "off the road" for a while, but are looking forward to
booking concerts again very soon.
Top Ten Things We
Know:
10. Our precious daughter,
Stacie, has been diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma cancer. But the
healing power of God and the prayers of friends and family are working -
and it is not time to quit. Keep it up. God needs our
prayers to be able to work on our behalf. We have just started a new
round of chemo - a different kind than the last four sessions. So please continue to pray for wisdom
for the medical team as they do in the natural what they know to do. But
at the same time we praise God for His healing power that flows through
her body and we know everything is going to be all right.
9. We saw the
doctor on 2/10 and that afternoon Stacie checked into Duke Medical
Center Hospital in Durham, NC. The biopsy results did show that the
lymphoma is trying to make itself known on the other side of her neck so
they are changing up her treatment plan. This new chemo was administered over the
entire weekend. She had the
first dose Friday evening - no side effects. Three more drugs were given
Saturday, two of which were given slowly over 24
hours so she was hooked up all night long. One glitch during the night
with a nose bleed and some resulting nausea from that, but by Sunday
morning she was much better. Then another round of the same drug
she had Friday night was given on Sunday morning. She checked out
of the hospital on Sunday afternoon and had a fairly good night's rest
at the motel Sunday night. We went back to the clinic on Monday
morning for a shot that will help out her immune system over the next
two weeks. We returned home Monday afternoon, Dennis went back to school
and Stacie has been resting. She had Tuesday off for a testing meeting
but we decided another day of rest would be best. We go back on 2/24 to do it all over again. Then another PET scan.
8. We have the support and encouragement of family, friends of The Macs all over the world, our churches
who pray for us daily,
our colleagues who have taken up the slack at work, and our partners in ministry - you have all been so
wonderful - there are no words to express our gratitude. Again, we
received phone calls, emails and Facebook
messages - before we had a chance to get the website updated. We know
many churches are having special prayer for us. It is great to have mighty prayer warriors on
our side! Thank you and we love you all. It is so good to know
that our friends are standing in prayer and believing God with us.
7. Stacie, Dennis
and I will continue to stand strong and believe God for her total
healing to manifest quickly. Our focus is that we are attacking this with prayer and believing
God first, practicing good health in eating and exercise second and the
doctor's advice and medicine third. We will continue to do so.
6. We must keep the
Word in front of us. We listen to our CD's whenever we are
traveling to and from Duke Med. Gospel songs, preaching and teaching have been so precious to us the last few
months. We are keeping
our eyes, ears, mouths, and hearts filled with God's Word. His peace has been overwhelming from the day
Stacie was diagnosed and has
only become sweeter with every passing day. Even with this latest turn
of events, fear has no place in our
house and we believe God's Word above all else. Stacie was sitting
in her hospital bed with the IV hooked up and she was talking about all
the angels in the room that we couldn't see who were listening to all
the prayers and the Word being spoken and protecting her. We know it's
the Word of God that enables them to minister to us.
Then she said, "Here we go on new adventure!"
5. Prayer changes
things. Please pray with us that Stacie will respond supernaturally to
this new treatment she is taking and no side effects
with God's favor!) Our prayer is that we will be a blessing and a testimony to everyone
we meet or who follows us on this journey. The first nurse spotted our "God's Got
This" bracelets right away and we were able to share our testimony and
she praised God with us and encouraged us in this new path.
4. We have and
will continue to speak only the Word of God over this situation, knowing
that His Word is health to our bodies and nourishment to our bones.
IT IS WRITTEN, "By His stripes we are healed." Spending time in
prayer and the Word of God has become sweeter each day. Stacie has a
book bag full of books on healing and healing testimonies, Christian
magazines, and her Bible and notebook. She is armed with the Word! God is so good.
3. We will continue to
do all the doctors
tell us to do, but most importantly we confess and stand in faith on the healing promises of
God and take them as “medicine” every day - all three of us. We use our authority as
believers to speak to the mountain of sickness and disease and command
it to MOVE in Jesus Name and never come back!
2. Our testimony
through this is already being used for the Glory of God. We all like to
wear our Southern Gospel testimony t-shirts to the doctor and hospital.
People we've met have seen the messages from Gold City's T-shirt - "I'm
Not Giving Up!", Brian Free's "I Believe God" and "It's Still the
Cross", the Whisnant's
"Even in the Valley, God is Good", and others. Those messages are truly a testimony
to other people and open the door to share His love.
For
all He has done in our lives, all He is doing, and all He is going to do
as we travel this pathway, we give Him praise. And we rest in His love and
care - which is so sweet.
AND AS ALWAYS THE NUMBER ONE THING WE KNOW
IS: GOD’S PROMISES ARE TRUE.
“For I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
The Macs have
many more songs to write (and we are!) and to sing for Him.
From The Mac's house to yours, thank you
for your prayers,
your
love and concern. God Bless You.
Dennis,
Jeannie, and Stacie
